Schleicher ASK-13 (G-CJGW)

he K-13 glider is the workhorse of many gliding clubs, including Darlton. This basic two-seat trainer is in use year round for training and solo flying, with most of our members learning to fly in one of these craft.

Schleicher ASK-21 (G-CHPW)
This glass-reinforced plastic (GRP) glider was introduced as a replacement for the K13 by Alexander Schleicher in 1979. With a wingspan of 17m, it has a glide ratio of 34:1 and a VNE of 151 knots. A really nice, stable two seat training glider.

Grob G102 Astir CS Jeans (G-CHBT)
The Astir is a Standard Class Sailplane with a large wing area. An ideal single seat glider for those looking to progress post solo.

Schempp-Hirth Janus B (G-DDTC)
The Janus is an advanced, flapped, two-seater glass glider. It is used for advanced flying and cross-country training.

Scheibe SF-25C Falke (G-BXAN)
The Falke is a motor-glider with the abilty to self-launch. Operated from Darlton Gliding Club, it is owned by a syndicate of club members.

The Falke is made available by the syndicate to all club members for glider navigation and field landing training.
